    Item Description:

    The World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization fighting hunger worldwide, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience.

    WFP hosts its backbone IT services in few dislocated datacentres located in Europe.

    A wide array of core systems interconnects across the above datacentres to provide end-users continuous access to central services.

    The current network layout has a limited degree of internal LAN isolation (i.e. zoning).  Based on a best practice guideline, WFP will change the global network layout to a “zero trust” zone.

    In order to achieve this goal WFP will have to perform a gap analysis to bridge from the current model to the new Network Architecture Model (NAM). The exercise is aimed at remapping all services in detail so that a comprehensive view on how these exchange data on the network can be documented.

    Therefore, WFP is soliciting expressions of interest from qualified suppliers involved in the provision of Mapping of Network Services of the WFP Headquarter in Rome, Italy.

    Response

    In order to participate in the pre-selection exercise, companies are required to provide the following:

    • Confirmation of interest in being considered for the delivery of the above items;
    • Company description and brief summary (max 3 pages) of experience in
      • network architecture analysis;
      • mapping of network services
      • assess network optimization options;
      • define network Role Based Access Control matrix;
    • No financial proposal is required at this stage.

    Upon receipt of a positive response, WFP may proceed with the next steps to engage a vendor.

    If your company is interested in partaking in this initiative, please provide the information requested to the following email address:

    hq.tenders@wfp.org

    Only companies that submit complete responses will be considered for the next phase of the process.

    The deadline for response to this Expression of Interest is:

    8 March 2019, 16:00 hrs CET (Rome Time Zone)
