Item Description:
The United Nations (UN) is looking to establish a long term arrangement with a vendor for the provision of subscription services for serials (including Online Databases) and books.
Dag Hammarskjöld Library (DHL) of the United Nations requires the services of an agent for the provision of:
1) books (in both paper and online format, including book packages and other collections), and
2) serials (paper and online magazines, academic journals, reviews and news, both per-title and as a database).
The vendors will be able to submit proposals for: 1) books only, 2) serials only or 3) both categories (books and serials).
The subscriptions to be purchased by DHL are principally in the field of international relations, economics, law and social sciences, published in the official languages of the United Nations (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish) in various countries.
The UN is looking for vendors with a minimum of five years of experience working as agent to libraries and the capacity to accommodate the needs of DHL which purchases items published worldwide.
The contract duration will be for a three-year period, with the option to extend for two more years, one year at a time.
