The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 December 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF’s mandate was extended to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. In 1953 it became a permanent part of the United Nations System, and the words “international” and “emergency” were dropped from the organization’s name, making it simply the United Nations Children’s Fund, retaining the original acronym, “UNICEF”.

UNICEF Lebanon would like to invite you for bid number (LITB-2019-9148722) for WASH equipment.

We are welcoming all relevant inquiries related to this LITB till 14:00 hrs. 21 May 2019. Queries should be send through e-mail and addressed to (arimlawi@unicef.org , sselwan@unicef.org), any query received through other channel of communication will not be considered.

A public bid opening will take place at UNICEF office- SAMA Beirut building (5th floor), on the same closing date 27 May at 12:30  PM Beirut time, suppliers who wish to attend are most welcome.
