Satellite Equipment and Spare Parts

The purpose of this Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) is to create a database of potential vendors that would be interested in participating in a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the provision of Spare Satellite equipment, support and maintenance to the United Nations (UN) Office Away from Headquarters (OAH) and both UN Peacekeeping and Political missions worldwide.

Current Situation and Goals

• The UN owns, manages and operates a private satellite communications network of approximately 200 Satellite terminals, with antenna sizes ranging from 2.4 to 16.4 M.
• Plans to extend the life expectancy of the systems already deployed to missions to replace partially or totally the existing equipment installed in remote sites.
• Plans to procure equipment for future remote sites.

The purpose of the RFP would be to make an agreement to procure the below:

• Satellite Earth Stations from 2.4m to 4.9m including all the associated hardware and equipment for C, Ku, Ka and X-Band;
• Satellite Earth Stations for Teleport for X-Band including all the associated hardware and equipment;
• Fly-Away Kits for C, Ku, Ka and X band.
