    Item Description:

    The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).

    Invitation for Bids (IFB)

    The Government of Zimbabwe has received financing from the African Development Fund hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Institutional Support for Governance and Public Finance Management Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of CIC Desktop Computers. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.

    The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply and delivery of 80 CIC Desktop Computers for the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe, by 31 August 2022.

    Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding Process (NCB) method as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework ,Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations, dated October 2015 and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
