Supply and delivery of Ready Mixed Concrete and pump hiring on “as and when” required basis to UNFICYP

Item Description:

1. The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) intends to conduct a competitive solicitation exercise for the supply and delivery of ready mixed concrete and of concrete pump hiring on “as and when” required basis. The deliveries shall be made to various locations island-wide. 2. The concrete shall be of a 28-day strength of 25n/mm2 complying to the European and British Standard, EN 206-1 / BS 8500, Grade C-20 and C25. The annual estimated quantities of concrete are 300m2 and the hiring of the concrete pump for 38 hours. UNFICYP is under no obligation to order any minimum quantities. 3. The resulting contract shall be for an initial period of three (3) years with an option to extend the term of the Contract at UNFICYP’s sole option for a maximum of two additional periods of up to one (1) year each (3+1+1 years). 4. In this regard, UNFICYP would like to identify vendors that would be interested to participate in the competitive solicitation exercise. Qualified vendors are requested to express their interest by providing all relevant information including complete company details using the attached Vendor Response Form, also available in our website http://www.unficyp.org. The interest should be sent to the attention of Stella Kitti, Procurement Assistant, either via fax +357-22-614493 or via email unficyp-procurement@un.org no later than Wednesday, 04 January 2017. 5. The UNFICYP reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant participation in the competitive bidding exercise. The UNFICYP reserves the right to change or cancel any of these requirements at any time during the EOI and/or the solicitation process. Please note that Vendors have to be registered at Level 1 at the time of the award. 6. The UNGM registration is mandatory for responding to this EOI. Interested vendors are strongly recommended to submit the required documentation at the United Nations Global Marketplace at http://www.ungm.org for Level 01 registration.
