    Item Description:

    The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit bids for Supply and Delivery of Vehicle Tyres, Batteries and Miscellaneous Workshop Accessories for UNAMI Baghdad, Iraq.

    The solicitation will be based on detailed Statement of Works (SoW), Bill of Quantities (BoQ), Technical Specifications, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for the tender.

    The resultant contract for this requirement will be for an initial period of one year with an option to be extended for two additional periods of one year each subject to satisfactory performance of the vendor and at the discretion of UNAMI.

    METHOD:

    All items provided under the proposed contract shall at an acceptable standard and shall be inspected by UNAMI before their acceptance. Rejected items shall be removed from UNAMI premises within 24 hours from the time that UNAMI informs the vendor of their rejection. If the 24 hours fall within a UNAMI none working day, the items must be removed during the next first working day.

    All vehicle tires, batteries and miscellaneous vehicle items are to be Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).

    Batteries supplied should be maintenance free, supplied from the most recent stock held by the vendor and should have a shelf life of one year from the date of manufacture.

    All batteries supplied should conform to ISO 9001:2000 standards or equivalent.

    All tires supplied should have the date of manufacture, maximum speed, maximum temperature, size, and quality rating.

    Tires supplied under the contract shall not be older than one (1) year from their date of manufacture and shall carry a warranty of two years under storage conditions from the date of receipt or one (1) year from the date of usage whichever comes first.

    TECHNICAL PRE-QUALIFICATION CRITERIA

    The proposer shall submit a valid Company Registration certificate.

    The Proposed vendor’s confirmation on their capability to supply and deliver the required items to UNAMI Premises located in Baghdad, Iraq within: three (3) days upon request by UNAMI Transport for stock items. One (1) week upon request by UNAMI Transport for non-stock items.

    The proposed vendor’s shall provide written proof (with the name of the client, value of the contract/purchase order and contact information of the clients) of a minimum of 3 years of experience with the international organization, reputable company, or public corporation in the vision of supply and delivery of spare parts, miscellaneous items, batteries and tires, or any similar requirements

    Confirmation that items provided are to be OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).

    The supplied items should carry the minimum required standard UN warranty of one (1) year from the date of receipt and storage and the date of usage whichever comes first.
