Supply and Installation of Solar Powered Water Supply Systems in New Project Sites

This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online AfDB1295-11/18th October 2018 on-line and on the African Development Bank Group’s Website.

The Gambian Government has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Climate Smart Rural WASH Development Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this grant will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the a) The Rehabilitation of existing Solar Powered Water Supply Systems in The Gambia; b) The Provision of Complete Water Supply Systems in peri-urban communities of the Gambia; and c) The Supply and Installation of Solar Powered Water Supply Systems in New Project Sites

The Ministry of Fisheries, Water Resources & National Assembly Matters through the Climate Smart Rural Wash Development Project now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the above three (3) stated contract activities.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and purchase the bidding documents at the office of:

The Climate Smart Rural WASH Development Project, CRS Building No. 40 Atlantic Road, Fajara, The Gambia, West Africa.

A complete set of bidding documents with list of lots may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten thousand Dalasi (GMD 10,000 per document)

The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document for small works 2020

Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 12:00 GMT on Tuesday 31st May 2022 and must be accompanied by a bid security in form of a Bank Guarantee as:

(i) The Rehabilitation of existing Solar Powered Water Supply Systems in The Gambia: $50,000
(ii) The Provision of Complete Water Supply Systems in peri-urban communities of the Gambia: $125,000 (iii) The Supply and Installation of Solar Powered Water Supply Systems in New Project Sites:

• Lot 1a: $160,000
• Lot 1b: $50,000
• Lot 2: $60,000
• Lot 3: $90,000
• Lot 4: $60,000

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 12:00 GMT on Tuesday 31st May 2022 at the offices of Climate Smart Rural WASH Development Project Conference room.
