Supply of Automatic Weather Stations and Accessories

This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in UNDB online M – 0047 of 10th July 2019 on-line, on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website and on PPRA Journal and portal on 10th July 2019.

The United Republic of Tanzania has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Climate and Seasonal Weather Information for Adaptation Planning in Northern Tanzania Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the Supply of Automatic Weather Stations and Accessories.

The Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA) through the Vice President’s Office now invites sealed Tenders from eligible Manufacturers to Supply of Automatic Weather Stations and Accessories

Interested eligible Tenders may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary, Tender Board, Vice President’s Office – NHIF Building 3rd Floor, Dodoma. P.O. Box 2502, Dodoma.From7:30 am to 3.30pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzania Shillings 100,000.00 (Tanzania Shillings One Hundred Thousand only). Payment should either be by Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to the Permanent Secretary, Vice President’s Office, and P.O. Box 2502, Dodoma.The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Goods or Procurement of Works.

All Tenders must be accompanied by a tender security guarantee in the amount of 5,000 USD.

All tenders in one original plus Two copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the Secretary, Tender Board, Vice President’s Office, NHIF Building, 3rd Floor, P.O. Box 2502, Dodoma at or before 10:00 hour’s local time on Friday 8th November 2019.Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the at the Vice President’s Office conference room 3rd floor, NHIF Building.

Late tender, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
