Supply of Construction Materials to be delivered in Beni, Bukavu, Bunia, Goma, Kalemie, Kananga, Kinshasa, Tschikapa and Uvira locations of DR Congo

The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) intends to enter into a System Contract (i.e. long term agreement based on fixed prices and multiple deliveries on an “as and when required” basis) to establish a 1 year Contract with an option of extention for 2 years periods and seeks Expression of Interest (EOI) from duly registered companies for the Supply of Construction Materials to be delivered in Beni, Bukavu, Bunia, Goma, Kalemie, Kananga, Kinshasa, Tschikapa and Uvira locations of DR Congo.

The purpose of this Expression of Interest (EOI) is to asses potential suppliers who can provide MONUSCO with the ability, skill and knowledge in respect to the Supply of Construction Materials to be delivered in the 9 Locations of DR Congo stated above.
MONUSCO will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and intends to issue an Invitation to Bid (ITB) to those companies who would express their interest and to provide initial relevant information demonstrating their abilitity to fulfill MONUSCO requirements. In addition, the interested companies will be requested to complete UN Vendor registration for level 1 on the vendor database accessible on ungm.org (new vendor only). A detail Scope of Requirment (SOR) will be provided to companies short listed for receipt of the (ITB) document.

The EOI should specify brief relevant information about the company including the company’s profile, capacity/capability and experience.

• provide us with a list of similar projects or orders already completed

Vendors will be shortlisted based on their ability to provide the relevant documents showing that they are authorized to undertake business in DRC. Interested vendors must also provide copy of the registration certificate/license(s) of the company with their response.

The requested information will only be used by MONUSCO for internal planning purposes, be kept strictly confidential and only authorized personnel will have access to it.
Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of bid.

MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the (ITB) document. MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOI’s received after the deadline indicated below.

The Expression of interest may be submitted by email to monusco-procurement@un.org and copy selamawit.kebede@un.org or else by facsimile (see below), hand delivery or courier, clearly marked with the inscription “EOI” – Expression of Interest for the Supply of Construction Materials to be delivered in Beni, Bukavu, Bunia, Goma, Kalemie, Kananga, Kinshasa, Tschikapa and Uvira locations of DR Congo and addressed as follows to be received not later than 13 September 2019, 15:00 hours Kinshasa time (GMT+1).

As the objective of this EOI is to gather information on the availability of the potential suppliers, services and ability to deliver the requested items in the specfic location in a timely manner, your willingness and ability to reply will be of mutual benefit

Subsequent to this EOI and the submissions received, MONUSCO may request for clarification through email / Fax or site visit for further information to have a better understanding of the documents submitted by your organization.
