Item Description:
This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online AfDB 112-818/12 of 15 March 2012 and on the African Development Fund Group’s Internet Website.
The Government of Kenya has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Supplementary Financing for The Ethiopia – Kenya Electricity Highway Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for 132 KV underground cable Nanyuki – Rumuruti transmission line.
The Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the execution of the works for the 132 KV underground cable Nanyuki – Rumuruti transmission line. The major works to be carried out by the Contractor shall comprise of but not be limited to the Inspection, Design, Supply, Construction and Commissioning of approximately 16.8 km Double circuit Nanyuki Rumuruti 132 kV double circuit underground transmission line and approximately 4.2 km Nanyuki Isiolo 132 kV single circuit underground transmission line.
