Item Description:
The Global Fund is a 21st-century partnership organization designed to accelerate the end of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria as epidemics. Founded in 2002, the Global Fund is a partnership between governments, civil society, the private sector, and people affected by the diseases. The Global Fund raises and invests nearly US$5 billion a year to support programs run by local experts in countries and communities most in need. For more information about the Global Fund and its structure, please see http://www.theglobalfund.org/en/overview/
Since 2018, the Global Fund has been in the GHC building located in le Grand-Saconnex, Geneva. When it moved into this building, it was decided to adopt a full open plan concept, except for Management Executive Members who have individual offices.
For over 1 year now, the Covid crisis has drastically changed the way we work and interact with others. In this context The Global Fund is launching a large project named Future of Work which will have the mission to adapt the ways of working to new ways of working, including reviewing, and adapting the physical workspaces to match to different models of staff attendance, changes in the culture of work and overall provide a supportive and productive workplace.
The workspace piece is one workstream of a broader Future of Work project which will help understanding the impact on other work streams e.g., impact of policy changes related to remote working.
In this perspective and to meet the demands of a future post-Covid era, the Global Fund is looking for a consulting company specialized in workspace design to help us redefine the workspace alongside policy and cultural changes in the ways of working.
This project represents a unique opportunity for the Global Fund to ask itself some questions and to rethink the way our organization has been working, adapt to the learnings of the last year and promote a workspace that supports the right kind of working ensuring the right balance between flexibility for staff and organizational productivity. These questions are more detailed in the following paragraphs.
Objectives
The Global Fund is in the process of hiring a consulting company to help the organization define the concept of the workplace as part of the workplace aspect of the future of work project. This mission represents a key step for The Global Fund to Promotes and supports the wellness of our employees. The successful bidder will be working closely with the Global Fund’s Administration, Communications and Human Resources Departments, as well as coordinating closely with a consultant framing the overall design and delivery of the FoW workstream.
The project will be split into two phases (Phase I – Diagnostic and Phase II – Implementation). Phase I is expected to be completed by 31st of July and Phase II’s timeline will be better defined in phase I but is expected to run to for around 3-4 months. In parallel of the 2 phases, the successful bidder will be requested to participate and assist in the development, planning and implementation of the workplace design piece. This step is critical for the overall success of the project and should draw heavily on the findings identified during Phase I of the study “1. Conduct a “post-Covid workspace diagnosis.” It should also include staff feedback collection as the end-users of the workplace.
Full understanding and buy-in from the organization will be proof of a successful Change Management Plan.
The Global Fund is approaching this Future of Work project with three interrelated workstreams touching the future of the work, workforce and workplace, underpinned by policy adaptations and Digital tools. This workstream is about: – Workplace design, The Global Fund is in the process of hiring a consultant to advise on, frame and oversee the overarching Future of Work project. This consultancy will need to work closely with that work, ensuring that the research, consultation, analysis, and scenario proposals are aligned with the overarching framework of Future of Work.
