Item Description:
Assisting 80 million people in around 80 countries each year, the World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization fighting hunger worldwide, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience.
As part of our initiatives to communicate effectively with our field staff, WFP webcasts globally using Wowza Media streaming engine Technology which we would like to continue to use and upgrade the current infrastructure in place.
Therefore, WFP is soliciting expressions of interest from qualified suppliers involved in the provision of advanced Wowza Media streaming engine technology, equipment and the related services to WFP Headquarters, based in Rome.
Namely:
- The Webcast Infrastructure:
- 2 Makito Encoders S-292E-SDI1-HEVC;
- 1 Embedder “BMD” Mini Converter Audio to Sdi 4K (4 mini converter);
- 1 Wowza Streaming Engine Pro License.
- The customized Solution:
- 1 video + 16 audio (Translations);
- Multicast technology;
- Adaptive bandwidth;
- 100% browser based on all platforms with no additional software needed;
- PowerPoint Presentations (webinar);
- & A. through the browser with Moderator and filtering;
- Viewers’ stats both for live events and for archives;
- Portal with authentication for external viewers;
- On-demand archives with indexing (DVD style) and keyword search;
- Close Captioning.
- Support:
The Webcast service is critical therefore the support must be of a Premium type with dedicated expert and immediate intervention, both remotely and on-site if needed.
Response
In order to participate in the pre-selection exercise, companies are required to provide the following:
- Confirmation of interest in being considered for the delivery of the above items;
- Company description and brief summary of experience in the required business (max 2 page);
- No financial proposal is required at this stage.
Upon receipt of a positive response, WFP may proceed with the next steps to engage a vendor.
