Item Description:
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) in Brindisi, Italy has a requirement to establish a long- term contract for the supply and delivery of the following Electrical Material Packages:
- Electrical Material Package “A” Cables and Accessories
- Electrical Material Package “B” Panel boards and Accessories – Electrical Material Package “C” Bulbs and Accessories
An indication of the grouping which shall form the Electrical Material Packages categories are as follows:
- Electrical cables and accessories;
- Electrical conduits and accessories;
- Civil-type plugs, sockets, and switches;
- Electrical panel-boards, and accessories;
- Lighting fixtures and bulbs;
- Transformers.
The items shall be appropriate for use in critical harsh environmental conditions, suitable for different climate zones (e.g. desert, tropical country, mountain, etc.) in which there are several variations of relative natural forces (e.g. temperature, humidity, wind, etc.).
All materials/items shall be in compliance with international codes, rules, regulations, ordinances standards, including, but not limited to the following:
- EUROCODE
- ASTM
- ISO
- BS EN
- DIN
In addition to the above Electrical Material Packages, other optional items may be required. Bidders will be requested to submit price catalogues based on the above categories.
The items shall be supplied in package configuration, and all parts and components must be packed on pallets for transport via road, air, and sea in 20’ ISO sea shipping containers.
Shipments shall be made using 20’ ISO sea containers in protective packaging to prevent breakages during transportation. The gross weight of each container must not exceed 10 tons.
Split awards by complete packages may be considered.
Delivery Terms: Delivery at Place – DAP UNGSC, Brindisi, Italy and/or Free Carrier – FCA nearest port of exit (INCOTERMS 2010).
The potential bidders must have referenced experience strictly related to the Supply of Electrical Materials.
The contract term shall be for an initial period of three (3) years, with the UNGSC’s sole option to extend the term of the contract for two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each (3+1+1).
The full technical requirements and details will be provided with a solicitation document to be issued at a later stage after the closing date for this EOI.
