Disposal of Various Wastes and Written off Property

The Global Procurement Support Section (Formerly (PD/RPO), on behalf of UNAMID, hereby invites qualified bidders to submit their Expression of Interest for the Disposal of Various Wastes and United Nations Written off Property – UNAMID for the following Categories of Items:

• General Supplies
• Medical Supplies and Equipment
• Communication, Information and Technology Systems (CITS)
• Transport Supplies
• Engineering Supplies and Equipment
• Aviation Supplies
• Integrated Warehouse Inventories

Contractor/ Successful bidders will be required to pay all taxes and duties levied on the used items by the Government of Sudan and provide documentary proof to UNAMID prior to the finalization of disposal.

Wastes and Scrap are mainly declared items that are unserviceable or unusable by the User. Written off property are itemized Lots disposed on the basis of “as is / where is”, without warranties. Electronic wastes might comprise mainly of remnants of different types of electrical or electronic devices, declared as unserviceable or unusable. The resulting contract(s) will be categorised as either Income to the UN (Sales) or expenditure by the UN (Service contracts) and other items shall be disposed as one-time purchases, according to the nature of disposal. The disposal shall be subject to UN Local Property Survey Board/Headquarters Property Survey Board recommendations.

UNAMID premises produce a reasonable amount of Wastes which must be disposed in conformity to environmentally acceptable standards. The quantities to dispose are expected to vary from month to month depending on the activities of UNAMID operations in various locations of; El Fasher, Nyala, El Geneina, Port Sudan, Khartoum, Zalingei and El-Daein. No guarantee can be given for the accumulated volumes of wastes during the Contractual period. A mandatory site visit date will be communicated in the Solicitation document.

Companies/potential bidders interested in participating in the provision of these Wastes and Written off property are invited to submit a written expression of interest (with information including the the name of the company, the name of the company representative and their email and telephone numbers) that may be submitted by email to unesb-rpo@un.org or hand delivered in sealed envelope clearly marked with the description “ Expression of Interest for the Disposal of various Wastes and Written off property” on or before Close of Business 21 January 2019 to the following address:

Companies can only participate in solicitations of the UN Secretariat after completing their registration (free of charge) at the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org).

As you express interest in the planned solicitation by submitting the response form, please verify and ensure that your company is registered under its full legal name with the UN Secretariat on the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org). In addition, the desired Companies MUST have a minimum of 3 years working experience in similar services and magnitude.

Note that companies that have previously submitted EOI for similar services with UN must re- submit full documentation as detailed above.

Please note, this is not an invitation for submission of proposals. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested to participate in the solicitation when issued.

The UNPD/RPO will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider those companies that have expressed their interest by providing the required information as to their ability to fulfill UNPD/RPO’s requirement.
