FOR THE PROVISION OF OPERATIONAL AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES (MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, MODIFICATION OF EXISTING WORKS, NEW WORKS AND GENERATORS MAINTENANCE) AT THE UNAMI FACILITY IN GREEN ZONE, BAGHDAD, IRAQ

Item Description:

1.0 The United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) has a requirement to secure the services of a company for periodical maintenance, repair, modification, alterations of existing facilities and new works, at the UNAMI D2 Compound, Tamimi Compound, Transport Workshop and Villa in Green Zone, Baghdad, Iraq, for initial period of one year with the option to extend for additional 4 years subject to UNAMI mandate, availability of funds and satisfactory performance by the prospective contractor(s). 2.0 The requirement consists of upkeeping UNAMI Facilities, which shall be inclusive of the following tasks: 2.1. Task Description 2.1.1. Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) include Reefer Units (Deep freezers and Coolers). 2.1.2. Electrical System includes the cabling system distribution pipes; Electrical fixtures and accessories, devices and appurtenances within the designated UNAMI Compound. 2.1.3. Plumbing System includes Plumbing, Sanitation, Sewerage, Storm water, Water distribution, Fire Fighting System and Sewage Treatment Plant within the designated UNAMI Compound. 2.1.4. Security Installations e.g. Crash Barrier, Sliding Gate and Arm Barrier 2.1.5 Civil Works includes Alteration and Renovation Works at the designated UNAMI Facilities. 2.1.6 Provision of Duty Technicians for off working hours of main maintenance Team including night, weekend, holidays and festivals, and days when UNAMI technicians are not able to work due to security or any other reasons.They will be responsible for troubleshooting of generator units, for all UNAMI premises in Baghdad IZ .i.e, Diwan, D2, SRSG Villa, Transport Workshop and Tamimi. 2.1.7 Landscaping and Building Maintenance . 3.0 The works include the supply of all materials, fixtures, fittings, equipment and labour necessary for the completion of the services required. After a complete site investigation, the invited Companies are requested to submit a fixed price proposal for the services and spare parts in accordance with the SOW. 4.0 It is Mandatory that Proposers shall visit the UNAMI Compound in Green Zone, Baghdad, Iraq prior to the submission of their proposal in order to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the location, operating conditions and specific requirements. 5.0 The solicitation will be based on a detailed Statement of Works (SOW), UN General Conditions of Contracts, Supplier Code of Conduct, Global Compact provisions which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for this tender. 6.0 The requirements will include, but not limited to, all necessary tools, equipment, materials, personnel, supervision and other items necessary to perform the services. 7.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request For Proposal with detailed specifications to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. 8.0 Please note on the following: • This EOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for RFP document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
