Item Description:
The European Commission is an institution of the European Union, responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the EU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EU.
The European Commission, Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology, is planning to award the contract(s) resulting from the above procurement procedure. The procurement documents consist of the contract notice, the invitation letter, the draft contract(s) and tender specifications with their respective annexes.
Information Sharing and Analysis Centres (ISACs) are non-profit groupings facilitating voluntary information gathering on cyber incidents, threats and vulnerabilities along with sharing experience, knowledge and analysis. The establishment and further development of EU level sectoral ISACs is a policy priority for the European Commission, which builds on recent findings from ENISA. The NIS Directive facilitates the identification of Operators of Essential Services (OES) in specific sectors and it tasks these operators to implement security and reporting requirements. The Commission proposes to procure an ISAC Facilities Manager in order to mobilize OES interests to participate in, establish and further develop European level sectoral ISACs covering each of the sectors and subsectors referenced in Annex II of the NIS Directive. The facilities manager would provide logistical support, specialist advice, IT platform support, thematic analysis and subscription based services to the ISACs.
