The World Health Organization (WHO) is a public international organization, consisting of 194 Member States, and a Specialized Agency of the United Nations with the mandate to act as the directing and coordinating authority on international health work. As such, WHO is dependent on the budgetary and extra-budgetary contributions it receives for the implementation of its activities. Bidders are, therefore, requested to propose the best and most cost-effective solution to meet WHO requirements, while ensuring a high level of service.
WHO is seeking offers to conduct clinical trial monitoring activities in four hospitals in India for:
WHO ACTION-I Trial: A multi-country, multi-centre, two-arm, parallel, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial of antenatal corticosteroids for women at risk of imminent birth in the early preterm period in hospitals in low-resource countries to improve newborn outcomes.
WHO ACTION-II Trial: A multi-country, multi-centre, two-arm, parallel, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial of antenatal corticosteroids for women at risk of imminent birth in the late preterm period in hospitals in low-resource countries to improve newborn outcomes.
