Item Description:
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) works in more than 170 countries and territories around the world, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion.
In 2016, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) partnered with UNDP to accelerate the implementation of Bottom up Budgeting (BuB) through a National Acceleration Modality (NAM). This is in line with UNDP’s commitment to assist the Philippine government attaining inclusive growth, good governance and sustainable development goals.
The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) is one of the social protection programs of the government that aims to improve the socio-economic capacity of the participants through microenterprise development and employment facilitation. Specifically, it endeavors to deliver capacity building program to develop the entrepreneurial and labor skills for poor, vulnerable, and marginalized families and individuals by providing them with opportunities to enhance their access to basic social services and standard of living.
In this context, the project requires the services of a firm or institution for the Training and Fabrication of Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Motorboats with Fishing Accessories in Hindang, Leyte.
For interested parties, the Request for Proposal (RFP), along with the Terms of Reference and Proposal requirements may be obtained by sending an email request to procurement.ph@undp.org. The documents shall contain all instructions on the rules, procedures, dates and other requirements, and shall be released upon request until 18 February 2019, 9:00 AM Manila time.
Deadline for the submission of proposals is on Monday, 18 February 2019, 2:00PM Manila time (or 1:00 AM Eastern Standard Time). Proposals must be sent to procurement.ph@undp.org.
UNDP reserves the right to reject any or all the proposals, waive any defect or informality therein, accept the proposal and award the contract to the most advantageous offer to the UNDP, for and in behalf of the project. UNDP assumes no responsibility to compensate or indemnify the offeror for any expense or loss that may be incurred for the preparation of proposals, nor does it guarantee that an award will be made.
