Rehabilitation of Lower Kokcha Irrigation – Zone II: Archi Jaded Canal (AJC), LKIP/AJC 20+450 to 46+000 km Canal Lining and Civil Works

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has received financing from the ADB toward the cost of Water Resources Development Investment Program – Project 2. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The National Procurement Authority (NPA), on behalf of the Ministry of Energy and Water (MEW) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Rehabilitation of Lower Kokcha Irrigation – Zone II: Archi Jaded Canal (AJC), LKIP/AJC 20+450 to 46+000 km Canal Lining and Civil Works (the Works). Construction period is 810 days.

International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible countries of the ADB as described in the Bidding Document.

Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications, summarized from the bidding document, should participate in the bidding. Bidders are requested to refer to Section 3 of the bidding documents for a full range of criteria prior to submitting bid.
