Supply and Commissioning of Two Electric Compressors including O&M training and spare parts

Item Description:

This Invitation for Prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project which was published on the EBRD website, Project Procurement Notices on 7 November 2018.

The Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO), hereinafter referred to as “the Client”, intends using part of the proceeds of a Loan from European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, hereinafter referred to as “the Bank” towards the cost of the Two New Raven Gases Compressors and their associated electrical motors and all auxiliaries as per scope description below which shall be part of RAVEN Gases Introduction to WDGC & Amerya Plant.

GASCO produces C2/C3 gas mixture which is utilised as a feed stock to the petrochemicals plants (SIDPEC and ETHYDCO), commercial propane, low/high vapour pressure LPG, sales gas and condensate.

GASCO intends to introduce additional feed stream from Raven field which is located north of Alexandria at Rasheed (developed by BP) to the WDGC in order to compensate the depletion expected in the main feed streams from the WD fields (El-Obaiyed, El-Salam and El Qasr gas fields).

Raven gas with maximum flowrate of 800 MMSCFD shall be directed to WDGC, Amerya LPG plant and to the National Grid.

Applicants, solely or through JV, to quote for the following scope of the Contract:

• Engineering, Design, Manufacture, Fabrication, Testing and supply of: two API 617 Centrifugal Compressors Driven by a Medium Voltage Electric Motor complete with MV variable speed drive (2×50%), API 613 Special Purpose Gearbox, API671 Couplings, Common heavy duty baseplate, Suction strainer, API 614 (Part-2) Special purpose Lubrication oil system and API 614 Dry Gas seal system, interconnecting piping, package control system complete with Anti-surge controller, performance controller, vibration monitoring system, Temperature monitoring system, required instrumentation for monitoring the machine performance including vibration and temperature probes and all instrumentation interacting with train control system.
• Testing and inspection including but not limited to: Equipment testing in accordance with ASME PTC codes and API standards, electric equipment testing, control equipment testing and sub system equipment testing.
• Technical studies and calculations including but not limited to:  Lateral and Torsional analysis for the compressor train, dynamic simulation study for compressor train implementing its outcomes (Hot gas bypass for example),
• Site supervision during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up phases. Site training for operators, up to 12 months on site operator assistant service.

Prequalification and tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a Loan from the Bank is open to firms and joint ventures of firms from any country.

The prequalification documents must be duly completed and delivered to the address below, on or before 15 September 2019, by 10:00 AM Egypt time. Documents which are received late may be rejected and returned unopened.
