Provision of Office moving services

Item Description:

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 December 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF’s mandate was extended to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. In 1953 it became a permanent part of the United Nations System, and the words “international” and “emergency” were dropped from the organization’s name, making it simply the United Nations Children’s Fund, retaining the original acronym, “UNICEF”.

Objective of this tender

The main objective of this Request for Proposal is to move staff belongings and office furniture from one location to another.

The main delivery locations are:

• From: UNICEF, 5-7 Avenue de la Paix, 1202, Geneva
• To: ILO / BIT, Route des Morillons 4, 1202 Genève

Other delivery and collection locations may be required during the LTA-S period as and when required.
The bidding process will include a site visit (current and future premises) for each vendor to see the access available for consistency. (truck access, parking, service lift, stairs, etc.)

To this end, UNICEF is seeking to enter into a Time-bound Long-Term Arrangement for Services (LTA-S) with a vendor for the provision of OFFICES MOVING SERVICES, as may be needed from time to time for an initial period of twenty-four (24) months, with a possible renewal for an additional period of twelve (12) months, subject to the satisfactory performance.

It should be noted that proposers must be officially registered in Switzerland (in the canton of Vaud or Geneva).
