Organisation of Training for SMEs on Consumer Rights

The purpose of the contract is to continue the development and organisation of training on consumer rights for SMEs. The overarching aim of the project, the training of SMEs, is achieved through a layered approach. One ‘lead trainer’ per Member State, selected for knowledge in consumer law and experience in adult training, educates ‘local trainers’ (e.g. SME representatives). These, in turn, offer training to SMEs. Training material is offered online on the ‘Consumer Law Ready’ website (5 modules on key traders’ obligations stemming from consumer law, adjusted to Member States’ national rules; training handbook). SMEs can ask questions and look up frequently asked questions. Participants of training courses can obtain a participation certificate by successfully completing an online test.Particular attention in this project should be paid to start-ups, micro- and small enterprises, as well as their existing support services and training offers.
