Water Supply and Public Sanitation Works, Dakcheung District, Sekong Province

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Lao People’s Democratic Republic has received a financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport through its Department of Water Supply invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the construction of water supply and public sanitation works in Dakcheung, which includes (i) the construction of river intake tower, a 1,000m3/day capacity water treatment plant, a 180 m3 clear water reservoir, and an 150 m3 elevated reservoir; (ii) the supply and laying of pipes approximately 15.14km HDPE DN110- DN200 transmission/distribution mains, 30.65km HDPE DN63 rider mains and 405 household connections, (iii) the construction of training and capacity building of PNP O&M staff; and (iv) the construction of nine (9) public toilets.

National Competitive Bidding (NCB) will be conducted in accordance with the ADB’s Single Stage – One Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all eligible Bidders as described in the Bidding Document.
