Procurement of Civil Works of River Rehabilitation and Dredging

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The People’s Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Shanxi Urban-Rural Water Source Protection and Environmental Demonstration Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The China Capital Tendering Co., Ltd. (the Procurement Agent), authorized by and on behalf of the Zuoquan Housing Security, Urban and Rural Construction and Management Bureau (“the Employer”), invites sealed bids from all eligible Bidders for Embankment and Culvert Works, Road Works on the Top of Embankments, Slope Protection and Foundation Protection Works, Embankment Filling Works, River Dredging Works, Afforestation Works, Main Channel Revetment Works, End of County Water Storage Section – Qingzhanghe Bridge, General Provisions and which in the bill of quantities. The principal quantities contain carrying out river dredging and ecological control of levee engineering for Qingzhangxiyuan urban section. The control area is 11.6km from the downstream of shixia reservoir to the inlet of ku-river. Among them, the length of the urban governance section is 2.4km, which is only dredged this time. The rest of the river dredging, revetment flood control and ecological restoration project length is 9.2km. The intended completion date for the whole of the works shall be the 485th day from the start date.

National Competitive Bidding (NCB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single- Stage: One Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries as described in the Bidding Documents.
