    Item Description:

    The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) is seeking expression of interest from qualified contractors to establish a contract for the supply of methane gas to the UNGSC, Brindisi, Italy.

    The connection point is located inside premises of the United Nations Global Service Centre, Piazza del Vento 1, 72100 – Brindisi – Italy, “Punto di Riconsegna – PDR” – (Redelivery Point) 61493890036414.

    The estimated yearly methane gas consumption is 8,400 cubic meters. However, the estimated value is indicative only and the UNGSC does not guarantee any minimum or maximum consumption during the contract period.

    The resulting contract will be established starting from 01 September 2020 for an initial period of one (1) year, with the UNGSC’s sole option to extend the term of the contract for one (1) additional period of one (1) year.

    Qualifications:

    Italian-based companies participating in this bidding exercise shall be registered at the Italian Chamber of Commerce Business Registry, with the relevant professional qualification as gas wholesaler for the past three (3) years. Conversely, foreign-based companies must be registered with the pertinent authority in their country of origin, with the relevant professional qualification as gas wholesaler for the past three (3) years.

    Companies must also be recognized by the official entity for energy control in Italy, i.e. Autorità di Regolazione per Energia Reti e Ambiente (ARERA).

    Full technical requirements and administrative instructions will be provided with a solicitation document to be issued at a later stage after the closing date for this REOI.

    Basic Registration with the UN Secretariat

    The non-EU companies participating in the tenders for UNGSC requirements with services/goods delivery to Brindisi, Italy shall be duly registered and/or in possession of all the requisite documentation, certificates and permits as required to do business in the member countries of the European Union.
    Pertinent requirements may be further stipulated in the tender documentation.
