Item Description:
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).
Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI)
The Federal Republic of Somalia has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of Rural Livelihoods’ Adaptation to Climate Change in the Horn of Africa (RLACCII). It intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for the Consultancy Services of an External Audit.
The services under this project include the recruitment of an external audit firm to carrying out audit services whereby the audit firm will express an independent professional opinion(s) on the financial Statements of the project for March – December 2019. Subject to satisfactory performance, there may be a possibility of re-engaging the auditor for two additional audit cycles.
The IGAD Climate Prediction and Application Centre (ICPAC) invite eligible audit firms to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Audit firms may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Policy, 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.

Expressions of interest must be delivered by email by 10th June 2020 at 3:00pm and mention “External Audit Services”.
