Supply and Installation of Relay Protection Systems in Various Substations, and Construction of Two 500 kV Interconnection Points in Sugd Substation

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Republic of Tajikistan has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Reconnection to Central Asian Power System Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The Joint Stockholding Company Barqi Tojik (BT) (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the design-build of the Project Reconnection to Central Asian Power System, that mainly includes: Supply and Installation of Relay Protection Systems in Various Substations, and Construction of Two 500 kV Interconnection Points in Sugd Substation, related relay and emergency control equipment, telecommunication equipment, supply of spare parts and special tools, etc. as well as the civil works, for detail design, customizing and programming, manufacturing, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, energizing works and services, and training complete in each respect at turnkey basis as specified in the Bidding Documents.

Open Competitive Bidding – International will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
