Item Description:
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).
Request for Expressions of interest
The Republic of Zambia has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the CHINSALI-NAKONDE ROAD REHABILITATION PROJECT (NORTH – SOUTH CORRIDOR), and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for External Financial Audit Services.
The services included under this project are financial audit of the project to form an independent opinion as to whether the financial statements of the African Development Bank support, give a true and fair view of the projects financial position and cashflow. The Consultant shall provide an independent opinion on the utilisation of the loan proceeds.
The National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) now invites eligible Consultants/ Auditors to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services through brochures, description of similar assignments, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” May 2008 Edition, revised July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
