Item Description:
This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website (www.afdb.org).
The Government of Republic of Angola has received Financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of Science and Technology Development Project (STDP). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the supply IT Equipment for the IAPI’s Intellectual Property Management System, including its installation.
The STDP now invites sealed bids from eligible Potential Suppliers for the supply of Information Technology equipment, including its installation, to support the deployment and implementation of a workflow automation and online services at the Instituto Angolano da Propriedade Industrial (IAPI), as per the requirements set in the Bidding Document Section VI, hereafter called “the Requirements”.
The International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Bank’s Rules and Procedures for Procurement of Goods and Works, Dated May 2008 and Revised July 2012.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents by e-mail, or, exceptionally, at the office of:

A complete set of bidding documents may be obtained (free of charge) by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the e-mail or, exceptionally, to the address indicated above.
The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Goods, dated September 2010 and Revised February 2018.
Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 10:00 (local time) on August 18, 2020.
The bid must include a bid security, using the form of a Bank Guarantee, whose template is included in Section IV, Bidding Forms, in the amount of USD 20,000.
Bids shall remain valid for 120 days after the deadline for bid submission prescribed above or any amendments thereof.
Bids will be opened at the following address, in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 10:30 (local time) on August 18, 2020 at the office of:
