Architectural and Engineering Design Consultant for India Resident Mission

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The ADB invites Expression of Interest on noncommittal basis from architectural or engineering firms for developing architectural and engineering designs and cost estimates. The planned building is a new construction of approximately 10,000 square feet on land in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. ADB will shortlist firms based on the following criteria:

1. Should be a Delhi based firm with independent legal existence for minimum ten (10) years. Please submit relevant certificates.
2. Have a total of past contracts of at least US$3,000,000 over the past three (3) years from 2016-2019 (April – March period). Please submit copies of annual accounts for the three years.
3. Have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience related to developing designs for high quality or high quality office buildings. Please submit building details of at least two (2) similar buildings in Delhi designed by the firm. ADB may review these buildings.
4. The firm should have been involved in developing detailed architectural and engineering designs and in project management of construction and fit out works for ten (10) years. Please provide details of at least two (2) clients.
5. The firm should be familiar with the government guidelines related to constructions in Chanakyapuri. Please provide relevant documents.
6. The firm should be from an eligible member country of ADB; should not be under a declaration or record of ineligibility for corrupt and/or fraudulent practices issued by ADB; and has not been sanctioned nor be ineligible to enter into transactions with ADB or any other multilateral development bank or institution and along with its sub-contractors, if any, have no pending litigations that represent more than fifty percent (50%) of its net worth. Please provide a declaration for these requirements.
