The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
India (herein after called Borrower) has applied for financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System Project – Tranche 1, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) of India (“the Purchaser”) invites online bids from eligible Bidders for Manufacture, Supply, transportation and delivery of 22,000 MT of UIC 60/60E-1/60KG 1080 Grade Head Hardened Rails Class-A conforming to IRS T-12-2009 (latest amendment) for Delhi- Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Corridor in India.
