Provision of Food Rations, Bottled Water and Related Services and Equipment to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA)

The United Nations is seeking expressions of interest from qualified food suppliers and/or logistics companies to provide Food Rations, Bottled Water and Related Services and Equipment to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA). The resulting contract is planned to have an initial term of 3 years with the option to extend for 2 terms of one year each (3+1+1 years), and the option to renegotiate the food prices every year starting from the initial contract term.

MINUSMA Food Rations Support includes the following supply chains: one (1) warehouse in Bamako and one (1) warehouse in Gao, with two (2) distribution points in Kidal and Timbuktu. MINUSMA intends to keep the Bamako and Gao warehouses and to establish purpose built food grade warehouses in Kidal and Timbuktu on UN provided land. The warehouses (WH) in Bamako and Gao will be provided by the UN in an as-is condition and shall be upgraded and operated by the Contractor. Outbound delivery outside of WH city limits and camps shall be carried out by the Contractor; meanwhile, TCC/PCC’s located inside of this zone will collect their rations from the warehouses. The Contractor is requested to deliver to eight (8) locations outside of the established warehouse area; meanwhile, TCC/PCC will pickup their food supply in four (4) WH locations. Additonal delivery points maybe added during the solicitation process or the contract term.

The fulfillment of the food rations contract shall include, but is not limited to the provision of:

1. Food Items: procurement, transportation, storage, management and delivery to a designated locations. Food items include frozen, chilled, dry, fresh and canned products or any combination thereof. 2. Bottled Water: procurement, storage, management and delivery to a designated locations.
3. Reserves: maintenance (at all times) of the required reserves (reserved stock) for dry, canned, and frozen food items as well as storage of bottled water (if required by the UN) and Combat Ration Packs at the warehouses.
4. Warehouse: provision, construction, upgrade, management and operation of warehouses.
5. Containers: provision of 10′ and 20′ refrigeration containers, on a lease basis to the Mission. Containers must meet ISO standards.
