Completion of Pumping Stations & Force Mains at Koror and Malakal

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Republic of Palau has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Koror-Airai Sanitation Project (KASP). Part of this financing will be used for the payments under the Contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

Palau Public Utilities Corporation (‘the Employer”) invites sealed electronic bids from all eligible Bidders for the construction, completion and commissioning of “Completion of Pumping Stations and Force Mains at Koror and Malakal” (‘the Works”). The Works include: completion of construction and commissioning of Sewage Pumping Station SPS 1, including mechanical and electrical installation; completion of rehabilitation and commissioning of Sewage Pumping Station SPS 2, including mechanical and electrical installation; completion of design and construction of the new DN500 mm SPS 1 force main crossings of culverts (4 nos.) on the Koror-Malakal Causeway (western approach to the Minatobashi Bridge); completion of force main and sewer connections at Sewage Pumping Stations SPS 1 and SPS 2, along with miscellaneous sewer interconnections; design and installation of SCADA/telemetry system to monitor operation of the two Sewage Pumping Stations and send the data to the new Sewage Treatment Plant in Malakal.

International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries as described in the Bidding Documents.
