Turn-Key Project for the design and installation of photovoltaic panels in various buildings at the United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) in Brindisi, Italy

The bid will be assigned as lump sum (l’appalto e’ aggiudicato a corpo) based on UNGSC guidelines and concept design.

The project will be divided in three phases: Design phase, Construction phase and test and commissioning phase.

A more detailed summary of the works is as follows:

PHASE 1 – Design

– Preparation of the architectural, civil, electrical, and plumbing Executive Design, based on the Conceptual Design, Drawings, and Specifications which will be provided at the tender stage;

• Preparation of the Maintenance Plan and the Operative Safety Plan (P.O.S.)
• Preparation of the work plan (Gantt Chart or similar)
• Preparation of documents to connect the systems to the National grid. The service includes ENEL and GSE related documents and practices, taxes, administrative fees and any other task required to fulfill the requirement

PHASE 2 – Construction

• Supervision of works and project activities
• Site preparation, mobilization, fencing, protection and installation of dust barriers, signage, temporary utilities, any other activities related to the safety plan implementation, all in accordance with pertinent Italian Laws and regulations
• Provision and installation of galvanized steel structures as support for the photovoltaic panels
• Installation and connection of photovoltaic panels and inverters (already purchased by UNGSC) as follow: o No. 2 Inverters, No. 2 DC string boxes and No. 60 photovoltaic panels on Building 154.
  • No. 3 Inverters, No. 3 DC string boxes and No. 90 photovoltaic panels on Building 228.
  • No. 5 Inverters, No. 5 DC string boxes and No. 150 photovoltaic panels on Building 135.
  • No. 5 Inverters, No. 5 DC string boxes and No. 150 photovoltaic panels on Building 137. o No. 9 Inverters, No. 9 DC string boxes and No. 270 photovoltaic panels on Building 254.
• Provision and installation of the grounding system, rod with CROSS profile in hot galvanized steel, cables, fittings, and junctions
• Provision and installation of a real time energy usage dashboard and support structure with proper anchoring system at Building 254 only
• Removal and re-installation of the existing solar panel and boiler, on the other roof of building 154 only. – Cleaning of the site areas (5 buildings)

PHASE 3 – Test and commissioning

• Test and commissioning which shall include:
  • Calibrating and testing of the installed equipment (Interface protection, Inverter), o test for efficiency of the system
  • Certificate of conformity as per DM 37/2008
• End of the construction stage all in accordance with pertinent Italian Laws and regulations
