Supply and Delivery of Refrigerated Trucks and Van

The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).

The Government of Malawi has received financing from the African Development Bank (ADF) hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Sustainable Fisheries, Aquaculture Development and Watershed Management, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for Supply and Delivery of Refrigerated Trucks and Van for the Department of Fisheries. “For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.”

Bidders may Bid for one or more Items, Lots or Packages, as applicable and, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one Items, Lots or Packages as applicable will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.

The Ministry of Forestry and Natural Resources, Department of Fisheries now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply and delivery of refrigerated trucks within a period of Twenty Four (24) weeks.
