The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The Republic of Kiribati has received financing from the ADB toward the cost of the project Two Bore Fields and Two Desalination Plants in South Tarawa Kiribati. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. No nationality restrictions apply for the bidding other than any restriction arising from Instruction to Bidders (ITB) 4.7. The project is jointly financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Green Climate Fund and the World Bank.
The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (“the Employer”) invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the design, execution, completion and operation of two bore fields and two desalination plants located on South Tarawa in the Republic of Kiribati.
Open competitive bidding (International) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope (1S2E) bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Documents.
