Item Description:
The Design and Production Section (DPS) is part of the Division of Conference Management at the United Nations Office at Geneva. The PS provides design and print services to United Nations clients based at the Palais de Nations, and in the wider International-Geneva area.
The DPS would like to purchase vegetable-based offset printing inks, coating and consumables for use on their Heidelberg CX 4-colour machine with varnishing unit and their Roland 300 Series 4-colour machine.
UNOG seeks to enter into a three-year contract, with the option of two 1-year extensions for the supply and delivery of vegetable-based offset printing inks, coating and consumables (3+1+1)
The eligible companies will be issued with a solicitation document by 13 October 2021 with a closing deadline of 3 November 2021.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS / INFORMATION (IF ANY)
The required items are vegetable-based printing inks, coating and consumables for offset printing machines (conventional drying). These inks will be in use with recycled papers and boards. The required items are classified as below.
Ink:
Process yellow
Process Magenta
Process Cyan
Process Black
Various Pantone (mostly used: 300C)
Note that the required Ink musts be in 1kg containers.
Coating: change everywhere
Coating semi matt
Coating low odour gloss
Consumables:
Anti-skin spray
Roller and blanket wash
Regumol (or equivalent)
Wadhmiittel/wash (or equivalent)
