Support Facility for Broadband Competent Offices (SF BCOs)

The European Commission, Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development, referred to below as the contracting authority, is planning to award the contract(s) resulting from the above procurement procedure. Objectives of the service

The primary objective of this tender is the set up of a “Support Facility” that will support the Broadband Competent Offices (BCOs), act as a facilitator for their networking activities, provide and coordinate training and dissemination of information and examples of best practices and act as an interface between the BCO’s and the relevant Commission Services.

It will assist the members of the BCO Network at national and regional/local level with networking, training, guidance on technical, policy and regulatory aspects, and exchange of good practices aimed at facilitating the planning, implementation and monitoring of broadband projects with a view to ensure that all EU funding opportunities (RRF, ERDF, EAFRD, CEF, Financial Instruments) are optimally used to rapidly progress towards the gigabit 2025 strategic objectives and the Digital Decade objectives.

The Facility will also support the European Commission, e.g. on collecting country specific information, including at regional level.
