The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) would like to award two framework contracts, in cascade, with two contractors for cleaning and disinfection services, special treatments, waste management and operation of the civic amenity site (lot 1) and two framework contracts, in cascade, for gardening services (lot 2).

Lot 1: Cleaning and disinfection services, special treatments and waste management

The EUIPO would like to award two framework contracts, in cascade, with two contractors, for cleaning and disinfection services, special treatments, waste management and operation of the civic amenity site at its facilities in Alicante (Spain).The interior cleaning and disinfection services include office areas, common service areas, technical facilities areas, kitchen areas and garage areas, as well as the replacement of materials.The exterior cleaning includes the facades of the EUIPO buildings, the sports facilities, the municipal park adjacent to the headquarters and the future UT1 plot.The special treatments include the tasks of disinfection, pest control and rodent control.In addition, the successful tenderer will supply and manage feminine hygiene waste containers and special units for the collection of sharps waste (hazardous or specific sanitary waste in group III), and manage the disposal of confidential documents.The service of waste collection and its transfer to the civic amenity site is also included. Operation of the civic amenity site will include the receipt and classification of waste, its transport by authorised carriers and its delivery to authorised treatment/disposal facilities. The successful tenderer must also perform maintenance work on the machines and containers of the civic amenity site so as to ensure safety and hygiene thereof at all times.

Lot 2: Gardening services

The object of this call for tenders is to conclude two framework contracts, in cascade, for gardening services (lot 2) in the buildings occupied by the EUIPO in Alicante (Spain).It includes the maintenance services for the garden areas including the future incorporation of the UT1 plot, drafting and monitoring of the agronomic plan, conditioning works (surveying existing plants and plantations), maintenance works (watering, mowing, trimming, aerating and verticutting, weeding, top dressing, earthing up, fertilising, pruning, digging, cleaning and replanting), the analysis of the irrigation water, the natural indoor plants and outdoor planters (watering, cleaning and trimming leaves, adding soil, replanting), and the maintenance of artificial plants and phytosanitary treatments.The contractor will be responsible for the maintenance and replacement of the pipes of the EUIPO’s irrigation network and those located within the limits of the green areas connected to the headquarters.
