Procurement of Plant – Design, Supply and Installation Power System Reliability Strengthening Project: Package 1 – Lot B: 220 kV and 132 kV Grid Substations

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has applied for financing from the ADB toward the cost of Power System Reliability Strengthening Project (PSRSP). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) (“the Employer”), invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the: Procurement of Plant – Design, Supply and Installation of Power System Reliability Strengthening Project: Package 1 – Lot B: 220 kV and 132 kV Grid Substations

• Construction of Mirigama 220/33 kV Grid Substation,
• Augmentation of New Anuradhapura 220/33 kV Grid Substation,
• Augmentation of Hambantota 132/33 kV Grid Substation,
• Augmentation of Matara 132/33 kV Grid Substation

Completion period is 365 days (from the Contract Effective Date).

International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries as described in the Bidding Documents.
