The European Border and Coast Guard Agency (hereinafter referred to as “Frontex” or “the Agency) was established in 2005 to assist both EU member states and other countries within the Schengen passport-free area in the management of their external borders and to bring greater consistency and harmonization to EU border control. The Agency facilitates cooperation between border and coast guard authorities by providing the necessary technical support and expertise available where and when it is needed. Frontex promotes, coordinates and develops European border management in line with the EU fundamental rights charter applying the concept of Integrated Border Management. Subject of the contract

The subject of this framework service contract is to provide data centre services of hosting the necessary hardware supplied by FRONTEX in a secure and well protected data centre, here referred to as ‘Data Centre Colocation’ services for initially a minimum of 6 racks and to ensure the timely delivery of all utilities and services described in this document for ETIAS and the other EU systems.This framework service contract will also enable FRONTEX to adapt the required services in function of the evolution of these systems and new needs that would appear in that area.Provision of IT infrastructure like servers, disk arrays and network devices etc. and software are out of the scope of this tender.
