Item Description:
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).
Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI)
The Government of Angola has received Financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Cabinda Province Agriculture Value Chains Development Project and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for the Supervision of Built Infrastructure Contracts in Cabinda.
The project intends to provide supervision of contracts to construct various built infrastructures to support agricultural productivity and improve health facilities for Cabinda’s communities. There are 5 built infrastructure activities (contract) whose supervision will constitute this consultancy. The construction activities will be broken down into 4 lots as follows:
- construction of 4 vocational schools
- rehabilitation of 2 health centers
- construction of warehouses and agro-processing centers
- construction of fish preservation equipment platform and shed
- electricity extension to São Vicente, fingerlings production center and Apolonia breeding center
The duration of the assignment is expected to be 8 months of construction supervision period, followed by 12 months Defects Liability Period (DLP).
The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries now invites eligible (Firms) consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Framework dated 2015.
