Item Description:

The World Health Organization (WHO) was established in 1948 as a specialized agency of the United Nations. The objective of WHO (www.who.int) is the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health. “Health”, as defined in the WHO Constitution, is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. WHO’s main function is to act as the directing and coordinating authority on international health work.

The Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO) is one of the six regions of the World Health Organization. Headquartered in Manila, Philippines, we work with health authorities and other partners in 37 countries and areas with more than one quarter of the world’s population.

Invitation to bid (ITB)

As part of its work, the WHO undertakes jointly with Member States and other specialized UN Agencies a variety of health projects for which equipment and supplies are provided free of charge by the Organization. Purchases of such material are non-commercial and international in character, as the products in question are for use in health programmes mainly in developing countries or in the offices of the Organization itself.

This Invitation to Bid (ITB) aims to procure Obstetrics and Gynecology supplies and equipment for the Philippines.

DESCRIPTION: Bidders are invited to submit offers for for [destination] under procurement, as per details provided in Annex I.

INSTRUCTIONS TO PROPOSERS:

1. Prices must be on FCA/FOB nearest AIR or SEA port (as per INCOTERMS 2010). The name and location of the airport or seaport are to be specified.
2. The currency of the offer shall preferably be the US Dollar, but any other United Nations convertible currency will be acceptable. Please refer to ITB document attached.

BIDS must be submitted via the e-tendering portal (https://ungm.in-tend.co.uk/who) CLOSING DATE: 15 October 2022 at 17:00 hours (Philippine time). OFFERS SUBMITTED IN ANY OTHER MANNER (e.g. fax, email) WILL BE INVALIDATED
