Item Description:
The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) on behalf of the Printing Section, wishes to receive Expression of Interest (EOI) for an Invitation to Bid (ITB) that it intends to launch for the rent of Digital Printing Systems (DPS) that use toner, for the production of three types of product, black and white printed conference documents, black and white publications and colour printed publications.
UNOG seeks newly manufactured digital printing equipment (with no used or refurbished parts) on a lease basis.
Vendor must manage and provide supplies including consumables such as toner cartridges, staples, spare parts, and other items directly associated with the daily operation.
Vendor must provide software upgrades.
Vendor must provide installation, maintenance and support, including on-site operator training for five staff, follow-up training for any major software or hardware upgrade at the supplier’s cost.
Guarantee of minimum uptime for each machine of 90% at all times (downtime of 10%) per day (on a yearly basis)
UNOG seeks industry standard hardware and software for processing and printing of documents and publications received in PDF.
Hardware and software solutions with capability to integrate with United Nations networks, e.g. TCP/IP, and be able to print PostScript Level 3, PCL 6 and PDF.
All proposed hardware and software solutions should be able to manage and print documents in the six official United Nations languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish).
This requirement is divided into two lots. Summarised as follows:
- Lot 1: 18-22 million A4 black and white clicks/ prints per annum.
- Lot 2: 3 million A3+ (330mm x 480mm) colour clicks/ prints per annum.
