Item Description:
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) invites Expression of Interests (EOI) from qualified companies for the supply and delivery of automotive coatings, paints, and related materials and services to the United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC), located in Brindisi, Italy.
The requirements are mainly for the bodywork repairs and painting of vehicles and equipment as well as masonry paints and accessories for in-house building maintenance projects, and the provision of technical support and services.
Only automotive coatings, paints, and related materials that conform to European Union standards will be accepted, and more specifically, reference is made to Directive 2004/42/EC for coatings and paints, and this will also include the EU approved labelling directives-(EC) No. 1272/2008.
An indication of the requirements/services are as follows:
Supply of Materials:
- Coatings and paints
- Vehicle body paint consumables
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Body/Paint shop accessories and tools
Services:
- Technical assistance
- Provide on-site services, review, and assessment to determine the right paint/primer for repair/s.
- Provision of paint mixing equipment, and related items.
The delivery terms are Delivered at Place, UNGSC-Brindisi, Italy (DAP – Incoterms 2010). Supply of the materials shall be made within twenty (20) working days of receipt of order.
It is anticipated that the contract term shall be for an initial period of three (3) years, with the UNGSC’s sole option to extend the duration of the contract for two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each (3+1+1 years).
The complete technical requirements and administrative instructions will be provided with a solicitation document to be issued later following the closing date for this EOI.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS / INFORMATION (IF ANY)
To be awarded a contract, the Bidder must be registered with the UN Secretariat through the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM). Specific requirement (i.e., vendor level of registration): UNGM Level 1.
Non-EU companies participating in the tenders for UNGSC requirements with services/goods delivery to Brindisi, Italy shall be duly registered and/or in possession of all the requisite documentation, certificates and permits as required to do business in the member countries of the European Union. Pertinent requirements may be further stipulated in the tender documentation.
