Item Description:
The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), headquartered in Santiago, Chile, is the agency designated to lead this procurement process. ECLAC is one of the five regional commissions of the United Nations, established in 1948, and one of its main objectives is the promotion of social development in the region. Its offices are located in the commune of Vitacura, Santiago, Chile.
ECLAC, United Nations, invites companies established in Chile to submit their Expression of Interest to participate in a competitive process aimed at the Supply and Installation of fourteen (14) custom-built electrical panels, based on an electrical engineering design that has already been defined.
ECLAC seeks to engage companies with proven experience in the supply, assembly, and installation of electrical panels, capable of certifying that the layout and installation of components comply with the detailed engineering specifications and with the electrical regulations in force in Chile.
Companies must hold SEC Certification as Class A Installers. This certification must be valid and will be used as formal evidence of technical and regulatory compliance in the assembly of the panels. This project represents a valuable opportunity to collaborate with the United Nations system on a high-impact initiative, ensuring from the outset the quality and regulatory compliance of the equipment that will form part of a future technical installation.
ECLAC values working with local suppliers who share its commitment to excellence, safety, and the highest technical standards.
Companies will be allowed to express their intention to participate jointly, whether as a Consortium, Alliance, or Temporary Union of Companies (UTE). ECLAC must be informed of such intention once the companies are invited to participate in the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage. ECLAC reserves the right to accept or reject such requests for joint participation.
The contractor must have a local representative in Chile and be able to respond to on-site service requests with qualified technicians.
