Freight Forwarding Services for the Shipment of Personal Effects of Military Personnel Deployed in UNAMI (Iraq)

Item Description:

United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit bids for the Provision of Freight Forwarding Services for the Shipment of Personal Effects of Military Personnel Deployed in UNAMI (Iraq) for the initial period of two (2) years with an option of extension additional one (1) year. 1.1 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request For proposal (RFP) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. In addition, the interested Companies will be requested to complete a UNGM Vendor Registration Form (New Vendors Only). 2.0 The solicitation will be based on a detailed Statement of Works, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for the tender. 2.1 The freight forwarding and customs clearance services will be limited to shipments imported/exported by air of Military personal effects based on the below annual estimation: BAGHDAD, IRAQ – NADI , FIJI 12,600 KG NADI, FIJI – BAGHDAD, IRAQ 12,600 KG ERBIL, IRAQ – KATHMANDU, NEPAL 6,000 KG KATHMANDU,NEPAL – ERBIL, IRAQ 6,000 KG 2.2 The contractor shall be able to collect and deliver shipment to/from the following locations: UNAMI-HQ , International Zone / Diwan school- Baghdad UNAMI-FSB , Baghdad International Airport- Baghdad UNAMI Regional Office, UN compound-100m road, Airport junction-Erbil Fiji Army HQ, Nadi, Republic of Fiji Nepalese Army HQ, Kathmandu, Nepal 3.0 Please note on the following: • This EOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for ITB document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
