Maintenance Services for Photovoltaic Generating Systems at UNON, Nairobi, Kenya

Item Description:

The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), currently accommodates two global headquarters namely, United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and UN-HABITAT. In addition it provides office accommodation and conference facilities to more than 38 regional and country offices of United Nations agencies and programs, as well as various organizational units of the Secretariat, including UNON, UNDP, UNESCO, UNICEF, UNSOS, UNAIDS, UNCRD, UNDCP, UNIFEM, UNIDO, UNFPA, UNPOS, FAO, ICAO, UNOPS, WFP and the Special Representative of the Secretary General for the Great Lakes Region among others. The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) hereby requests interested firms to submit their Expression of Interest to participate in the upcoming competitive bidding exercise for maintenance services on Photovoltaic Generating Systems with approximate 600KW output, its ancilliary switchgear, metering and communication systems. The Contractor will provide all manpower, tools, meters, materials, transport and other items necessary to successfully perform the Maintenance Services. The details of the requirement shall be communicated in due course in the tender documents. Below is a brief description of the requirement: The Contract resulting from the subsequent tender will be for an initial period of three years with the option to extend for two additional consecutive one year periods (3+1+1). In this regard, UNON intends to contract a qualified firm for the subject requirement. Interested vendors may forward their Expressions of Interest (EOI) along with the signed vendor forms to pdnairobi@unon.org. All EOI submissions should be sent via email, citing the EOI reference number and title in the subject line. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Only Vendors which in UN’s sole discretion are deemed eligible and qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submissions may receive the final tender solicitation documents.
