Item Description:
The Ministry of Finance has received grant from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) toward the cost of the preparation for the Power Distribution System Upgrade and Expansion Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards procurement of goods and consultancy services.

The proposed project preparation, which has a total estimated cost of USD 1 million equivalents, will require inter alia the procurement of the following goods and services:
Procurement of computers, equipment, and GIS-based Distribution System Planning Software
Procurement of Consulting Services for Distribution Network Data Analysis, Project Design, Environmental & Social Assessment, and Procurement Advisory Services
Procurement of all contracts will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of AIIB’s Procurement Policy and its associated Interim Operational Directive on Procurement Instructions for Recipients. AIIB’s Policy on Prohibited Practices will apply to all contracts.
Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the Q3 of 2018 through the Government of Nepal, Nepal Electricity Authority, AIIB’s and UN Development Business website.
